Shimmerling

A shimmerling is a winged, cat-like creature I found in a Harry Potter fanfic I'm translating [link] I'm not sure about the wings, they could be butterfly ones, but I think they're cooler in bat-version.

A shimmerling is a fairy being, used to transport messages. Some have psychic powers and are able to come in people's dreams, usually to help them with nightmares. They're highly intelligent and can speak by telepathy.
